My sweet little baby, that is...I'm not quite sure what happened to his easygoing personality!
Ah, yes, we have hit the terrible twos in a big way!!! My confusion comes from how just a few months ago, Alex and were commenting on how sweet and easygoing Charlie is; how he is so easy to take out in public; how he gets into things in the house but not with a disobedient spirit. Now it's almost like a switch has been flipped and someone replaced my happy-go-lucky baby with a strong-willed toddler.
Charlie's new 'favorite' ways of expressing himself are by screaming, dropping to the floor, kicking, hitting us, hitting objects, hitting himself, and my personal favorite, screaming "nooooooooo" for any and everything!!! It doesn't matter if he does want something, he still hollers "NOOO!" Lest anyone worry, he still has tons of time that he sings, talks, reads his books, giggles, dances, etc.... but oh how this new era is exhausting me!!! And unfortunately, Charlie has getting this stubborness honest from both sides of the family! We can't say we don't know where the stubborn streak comes from!
I am keeping "The New Strong-Willed Child" by James Dobson at my bedside -- I may have it memorized by the time we get through this phase!! :(

Good luck - We're reading Shepherding a Child by Tripp. So far, so good. But its a theology change for typical parenting. Shaping the heart and not just ending bad behavior...I need to get your book too
Parts of that sound familiar :) Luke went through a tough time in his early twos...then hit another rough patch when he was almost three, but I would say overall the twos weren't terrible. Good luck!
ah, yes. luke has been my strong-willed baby boy from his very first breath. dobson's book made me feel so much better (i haven't actually finished it yet)! it describes my child PERFECTLY! it helped me to see that i wasn't alone after all!
