- He threw away his beloved "Peecy" back in January...and it wasn't difficult on him at all!! No sleeping problems, no attachment issues...nothing!! I was worried for nothing!
- Speaking of sleep problems...this child has decided not to sleep! Very frustrating! He is very strong-willed and doesn't want to miss the action! He has had a struggle a bit lately in that we found he was having nightmares, and much worse (for us), night terrors (which we witnessed). A call to our wonderful pediatrician calmed us down...and Charlie seems to be doing better in this area.
- While we are nowhere near being potty trained, Charlie has at least gotten interested in the idea of going to the potty. Alex just loves the 'audience' he gets in the bathroom these days!! :)
- Charlie has become ENAMORED with Sesame Street and Barney! Other favorites include (of course) Mickey Mouse and Veggie Tales...no change there!
- Favorite foods are cheese sandwiches, fruit, cupcakes, rice, my mom's veggie soup, Alex's spaghetti, 'Daddy cereal' (which is frosted mini wheats), Pop Tarts, and any candy that he can sneak! He has finally discovered the joy of sharing a bowl of ice cream with his Daddy at night time!!
- Favorite toys are tractors, trucks, cars, boats, trains....anything that 'goes'!!! He especially likes farm equipment since he gets to see that all in real life at our farm. He has also fallen in LOVE with the cows, which is making his Mommy learn how to be much braver since I have to pretend to not be scared of them for his sake!! :)
- He loves numbers, letters, shapes, colors, or anything to do with counting or singing! Current favorite songs are "Jingle Bells", "Away in a Manger" (all 3 verses, thank you!), "Silent Night" and "This Little Light of Mine."
- Best friend...no question...Morgan G. He just loves her and squeals at the mention of her name!! I love that he is learning to share, fight, play, laugh, and be creative with her! She is such a 'jewel' to us!!
- Most of all, we love to hear his little vocabulary as it just explodes! It is so fun to talk with him...as Alex says, "It's almost like he's a real person now!" :) Here are some of our favorite words in "Charlie-speak":
Senen (seven)
E-ye-den (eleven)
Ocagon (Octagon)
S-Betty (Spaghetti)
Hold You Lay Down (I want you to carry me to bed so I can lay down)
Bash-ite (Flashlight)
Brown Brown (Brown Bear, Brown Bear)
Rayno and Baby Yellow ( Rhonda and Baby Amelia, this is a friend of mine)
What Doin-in? (What are you doing?)
Poppy Bill (Alex's dad)
Aaaa--yex!!! (Alex!!)
Who-yoo (Yoo-hoo)
Honey, come here!! (Alex and I call each other honey all the time, apparently he has picked up on this)
Gooey (Goofy)
Dowald Guck (Donald Duck)
Yee-Yee (Lily, our cat)
You-cy( Lucy, our other cat)
Forndog (Corndog)
and last but not least, our current favorite:
When we say ask him to say his whole name (Charles Alexander Breeden), he says:
"Charles Daddy Breeden"
We love him and are blessed to get to be his parents!

Ha ha - love that last one. Levi went through a phase where he called Garet, "Garet". Cracked me up.
