Being around these two sweet kids makes me miss the days when I spent all day long with this age of children. Their funny comments and amazing imagination is exhausting, but so neat to hear and see. Some of my favorite comments so far:
- "Aunt Joy, Uncle Alex is way more funnier than you are." (true)
- "Aunt Joy, is there another baby in your tummy? Cause it looks like there is." (NOT true, but apparently weight watchers will continue!)
- "Aunt Joy, you be Cinderella, I'll be the wicked stepsister," says Matthew. (poor thing, these are the games you have to play when you are the younger brother)
- "Aunt Joy, please come over and play with us and the red jeep. You can be the gas station, because you are full of gas." (Ha, ha ha. Don't you just love what kids can say?)
Coming up now are lots of pictures of the past few days and some of our adventures...
Holly and Matthew LOVE the red jeep they drive. 6 year old Holly has really gotten the hang of 'drive' and reverse;' 3 year old Matthew has been doing alot of driving in Grammy's flowerbeds.
Poor Charlie tried to ride with his cousins, but he kept getting 'whiplash' from the drive. Here he is staring at Matthew with total shock as Holly plays with the real radio -- can you believe how high tech this thing is?
Holly is busy picking blueberries on the farm (with Granddad intent on getting enough for blueberry cobbler that evening).
Matthew picked just one blueberry to put in his bucket before emptying his 'load' into the big bucket -- this happened over and over and over!
Holly is so proud of all the blueberries we got!

We took the kids to see some friends' minature horses...Holly absolutely loved this and was eager to pet each one. Matthew was not so sure...

Actually, this was how Matthew preferred his picture to be taken!

Finally, we got Matthew to willingly touch the horse!

And last, but not least, a picture of my smiling boy from this week!! I can't believe he's almost 11 months old!

I didn't know you had blueberries on the farm. Please save some for me :).
Your niece and nephew are so cute. You must have a wonderful, beautiful sister (hee hee hee). Seriously, thanks for sharing the pictures. They are having a great time and not homesick at all (as evidenced by not wanting to speak with me!)
These pictures are precious! And I love all their cute little sayings. Your niece and nephew are too cute! Of course, Charlie is pretty stinking cute, too! ;o)
